B2B Projects

Here you will find information on the Business to Business Projects in Bhutan.The B2B aims at creating economic growth and poverty reduction through support to commercially viable businesses. The B2B offers support for the preparation and implementation of partnerships between Danish and local companies in Danida's Programme Countries.Due to the planned phasing out of Danish development aid to Bhutan, the last commitments for B2B support was made in December 2011 with the last disbursements in 2012.

The B2B Programme in Bhutan contributes support to partnerships with grant for study visits, preparatory analysis, transfer of technology and know-how, training, export Promotion, improvement of working conditions and occupational health, improvement of the external environment and inclusion of Corporate Social Responsibility, such as greater employment opportunities for women, safety and health.

Examples of B2B Projects

Several partnerships between Danish and Bhutanese companies have been supported here in Bhutan.

Waste and Water Treatment

A B2B project on Waste and Water Treatment was approved in 2011 between the Bhutanese Company Sangsel Eco Trade and Danish Companies of Silhorko-Eurowater A/S and AEC International Aps. The partners aim to provide environmentally sustainable solutions to treatment of waste water and sewage and also champion environmentally friendly yet commercially viable partnership on water treatment.

G4S Bhutan

This first B2B project, a joint venture limited liability company "G4S Security Services (Bhutan) Private Limited" was established in 2005 between the Bhutanese partner Chhundu Enterprise and the Danish Partner Group 4 Holding A/S. Danida has supported the partnership with DKK 3.6 million or (0.5 million Euros). G4SB will offer affordable complete integrated security solutions to the industry, trade and business as guards, armed guards, management, surveillance, monitoring and response, escort services and formulating integrated security designs and solutions. Today G4SB employs more than 300 guards.
